Relationships and fire

Relationships to me will work out a lot better
if we thought less about ourselves, and more about our partners.
It takes only a minute to crush on someone,
an hour to like and a whole day to fall in love.
But there is more to love,
Than the mutual feeling of affection
And the crave of attention.
Love sometimes can be the most difficult journey to embark on.
So we have to make sure we choose a partner that we can’t easily turn back on.
Love can be very demanding and frustrating.
Love can also render you useless without warning.
It start by making you think of being with only one person.
It makes you smile at your phone for no genuine reason.
But then, that is where most of us make mistakes.
We jump into conclusion because of the Initial fondness without considering what it takes.
For love to work, there are other ingredients needed.
Because going into a relationship is like preparing a meal.
Your meal will pass through fire before you can enjoy it.
Yes, we know that you’re hungry, but you’ll have to endure it.
We all fail to endure pain of loneliness.
Just like our meal passing through fire,
Our love need to pass through tests and trials.
You can’t enjoy your bowl of rice without stew.
You also need salt to make it taste well.
And oh remember, it mustn’t be too much.
And maybe some pieces of meat of fish
Your relationship is like your bowl of rice.
Love alone is not enough to make you enjoy it.
You need other ingredients like trust and respect.
You also need some level of attachment,
But remember, just like your salt, it mustn’t be too much.
Now your meat and fish are the gifts and material things.
They are always very noticeable, but they’re not the most important thing in a relationship.
Little things always matters the most.
Respect your partner and cherish them.
Build a level of trust before you jump into conclusion.
Don’t just chase for the fun of chasing.
Remember the fire your meal pass through.
You’ll fight and argue
You’ll ignore yourselves for sometimes.
But then all these things are the fire that will make you enjoy your meal.
Do not run away form the fire.
